This person has no idea what she is talking about. Replace her undercarriage? lol. She is ridiculous. Also, if her air bag sensor was crushed, her air bags would have deployed. What an idiot. I have been with Geico for 15 years. I've had 2 claims with them and it's the best repair process anyone could ever ask for. Sounds like to me that everything was handled properly and this woman just had no idea what happens after an accident.

The body shop will repair your vehicle based on the appraiser's estimate. The adjuster will pay the body the appraiser's estimate. If more damages are discovered while repairing the vehicle, the body shop MUST request a supplemental appraisal from the appraiser. The adjuster will then pay that additional amount.

Used parts are only used when the vehicle is over 1 year old. If the vehicle is new (less than a year old) the insurance company MUST use new parts...if the adjuster refuses...contact your State Attorney General office and report them immmediately...and believe me, you'll get new parts ASAP.

Im a claims adjuster. Our job as adjusters is to source cost effective parts (recycled, aftermarket, etc)to repair your vehicle and to keep premiums and repair costs down. Not only does it keep costs down, its good for the environment as we are "recycling usable parts". Be advised that if recycled or aftermarket parts are not insurance quality, we dont use them. the last thing we want to do is compromise safety.

Not necessarily true. It depends on the state. In the state of Delaware and several other states this is true. Also, it depends on the insurance company. In some states where multiple estimates are not required an insurance company may still get 3 estimates as a matter policy. As a side note, this lady is off her rocker! haha.

In the case of a "Total Loss Vehicle" the appraiser MUST provide the adjuster with three (3) written estimate as to the replacement value of your vehicle ... a low, medium and high value. The adjuster will ALWAYS try to settle your claim using the LOWEST estimate ... REMEMBER THAT.

A claim adjuster's job is extremely stressfull. Consumers would greatly benefit and speed things up if they (1) report a claim, (2) then write down their claim number and then (3) let the adjuster assigned to their claim, to call them back...instead of calling the adjuster constantly to get an update on their claim.
